Board approves Messenger Public Library budget resolution for levy process

The North Aurora Board of Trustees approved a resolution Monday accepting the Messenger Public Library's budget, which the library board had passed April 10.
"This is their budget for the current fiscal year. They're required to submit this budget to us, which then we'll use for the tax levy process," Staff member Jason said. Trustees moved to approve the library resolution by roll call and all present voted yes.
Village staff will use the library's submitted budget figures when preparing the fall tax levy. No changes to the library budget were proposed in the meeting record.
