Addison board approves insurance payment, service agreements and several ordinance measures

The Village of Addison approved a slate of routine and policy items at its Feb. 3 combined committees and village board meetings, including a $1,234,897 insurance payment, a contract award for residential branch pickup services and two three‑year intergovernmental agreements to continue dispatch services for neighboring fire districts.

Why it matters: The actions finalize vendor contracts, insurer payments and intergovernmental funding schedules that affect village operations and the budgets of nearby fire protection districts. Several ordinance votes also updated liquor licenses, tax‑increment financing (TIF) procedures and loan authority for the town center TIF fund.

The board approved the consent agenda after committee review. The consent items included approval of accounts payable directives and staff recommendations transmitted from the earlier combined committees meeting. The committee had presented three directives during its review: directive 25‑56 for $443,744.37; directive 25‑57 (reported in committee as $400,164.54); and directive 25‑58 for $477,690.85.
