The Village of Addison voted to reject both bids submitted for the 2025 native area and wetland maintenance program after staff reported both proposals were significantly higher than the amount budgeted.
Ryan (staff member) told the committee that two bids were opened on Feb. 18 and both came in well above budget. Staff requested authority to reject all bids and to reconceive a maintenance program that meets maintenance goals at a lower cost; the committee approved the request.
Ryan said staff will meet to develop a new program that addresses maintenance needs while reducing cost. No dollar amounts or bidder names were announced during the public discussion. The rejection was approved by voice vote in committee and later reflected on the board consent agenda.
