Parks commission assigns members to EcoEd, Greener City, No Mow and other programs

At its meeting, the Webster Groves Parks & Green Space Advisory Commission reviewed a color-coded program roadmap and assigned commissioners to work groups for existing and proposed programs.
Chair Jeanne and staff circulated a printed roadmap; commissioners volunteered to support EcoEd (education series), Greener City, the tree-of-distinction program, watershed signage, grant funding, and a potential tree-preservation ordinance outreach effort. The chair said she would email the roadmap so new member Jim Rhodes could select areas of interest.
Commissioners confirmed volunteers for named buckets: EcoEd (Carrie, Rory and the chair), Greener City (Ginger, Carrie, Rory, Theresa), Leave the Leaves/No Mow (Corin, Theresa), tree-of-distinction (Laura), watershed/native-plant signage (Corin, Teresa, Laura, Carrie, Lori), and grant funding (Lori and chair). Several commissioners said they would take on media, outreach, or data-collection tasks tied to volunteer recruitment.
The commission asked staff to circulate an electronic copy of the roadmap for members to propose changes. The roadmap will guide near-term outreach and the assignment of subcommittees leading up to fall program events.
