She described the pods as small enclosed spaces commonly used for quiet study, phone calls, nursing, or small meetings and said the library expects to install four pods in total.
The councilor noted the donation is unrestricted funding and that the library board is enthusiastic about the project. No formal council action was required; the announcement came during council updates and was informational.
