Board approves like-for-like window replacement at 143 South Gore

The Webster Groves Architectural Review Board on the evening’s public hearing approved a like-for-like replacement of windows at 143 South Gore Avenue.

The board moved to approve the project after members confirmed the new windows would match existing dimensions and glazing. Carol Dunkey, a volunteer architect on the board, asked staff and the applicant to verify sightlines and sizes on the side elevations; the applicant’s representative, Brian (project representative), said the windows are a direct replacement. "Same size, same design, being double hung, equal sashes, upper and lower, no grills in the glass, clear glass, white interior, white exterior," Brian said. He added there are no dimensional changes to openings and that egress requirements for upstairs bedrooms would be met.
