Council approves docketed claims and 11 consent items including water/sewer adjustments totaling $39,743.07

The City of Gautier City Council approved the docketed claims and the consent agenda, which included 11 items covering routine administrative and operational matters.

Councilman Anderson moved approval of the docketed claims; Councilman George seconded. The council then considered a consent agenda of 11 items, which were moved by Councilman Jackson and seconded by Councilman George. Councilman College responded “Aye” when the mayor called each vote, and the motions were declared carried.

Consent items approved on the record included: approval of minutes from the April 1, 2025 regular meeting; receipt of the February 2025 finance reports; approval of water and sewer adjustments for April 2025 totaling $39,743.07; a waiver request for a provisional rental fee at George Martin City Park for Martin Bluff Elementary; authorization to enter into an agreement with IMBA Veil Solutions for the Shepherd State Park Recreational Enhancement Project; authorization to submit a waiver to the Mississippi Development Authority regarding the Development Infrastructure Grant program; certificate of substantial completion and final pay application closeout for the sanitary sewer main rehabilitation Phase 2 project; approval of a service agreement between the City of Gautier and Skylink Events; approval of an agreement with Cruisin' the Coast to host a one-day cruise-in-the-decades event; waiver of rental fees at Baker Park for a community outreach initiative; and approval of a real-estate lease agreement between the City of Gautier and Glen Reeves.

By approving the docketed claims and consent agenda, the council cleared routine administrative items and enabled staff to proceed with the listed projects and agreements. No items were pulled for separate discussion at the meeting.
