Council authorizes disbursements, files multiple board minutes and schedules a closed study session on property

Mayor Pro Tem Councilman Benedetti moved to approve authorized disbursements since April 14, 2025, in the amount of $2,511,544.42; the motion was supported and recorded as unanimously ordered.
The council also moved to place on file minutes and reports from multiple boards and commissions (Board of Review minutes, City Beautiful Commission, Civic Commission, Downtown Development, and Recreation Commission minutes for various dates). Those motions were moved, supported and recorded as unanimously ordered.
Finally, the council approved a motion to hold a closed study session immediately following the budget study session to discuss the purchase and/or sale of property. The clerk called the roll for the closed-session authorization; the roll call recorded affirmative votes and the motion carried.
Staff will schedule the closed study session and handle any required public-notice or confidentiality procedures as allowed by state statutes governing closed sessions for real-estate negotiations.
