Trenton approves quarter-end budget amendments, authorizes $6.67 million in disbursements and notifies state of updated emergency operations plan

On Jan. 6 the Trenton City Council unanimously approved controller-recommended budget amendments for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2024 that affect the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, authorized disbursement of January 2025 payments totaling $6,668,871.37, and acknowledged the mayor's signing of an updated 2025 Emergency Operations Plan.
Controller Miss Cooper told the council she had a few small budget amendments for the quarter and asked for approval. "I had a few small budget amendments, for the quarter ending 12/31/2024. That would affect our overall budget for the fiscal year '25," Cooper said. The council moved and seconded the amendments and the motion was recorded as unanimously approved.
Mayor Pro Tem Benedetti moved to authorize disbursement of January 2025 in the amount of $6,668,871.37; the motion was seconded and recorded as unanimously approved. Separately, Emergency Management Coordinator Paul Haley said the mayor signed the updated Emergency Operations Plan on Jan. 6 and requested authorization to provide a copy to the state and federal agencies for their records; the council approved that action as well.
