At its May 15 special meeting the Illinois Commerce Commission granted Ameren’s motion to withdraw a petition that sought a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct natural gas facilities in Madison County; the commission dismissed the proceeding without prejudice.
The commission also approved an order in a Peoples Gas complaint that found in favor of the complainant and directed Peoples Gas to refund approximately $2,964 to that customer.
The commission recorded the Ameren withdrawal and the Peoples Gas refund as discrete items on the gas agenda and approved both orders with no recorded objections. The transcript shows a separate gas-item confidentiality order (G6) granting protected treatment of supplemental compliance-report information for not less than two years.
