District bond team reports progress on school tours, design advisory work and preliminary budgets

He said the team is progressing toward a concept-level design and aims to produce high-level concept designs for the six schools by mid-July to brief potential contractors and inform contractor onboarding.
Hobbs also said the district is working with the city on a pre-application meeting for the Pioneer Stadium and high-school fields project, and that contingency estimates remain as the team refines construction scopes. He outlined community engagement plans: the Community Bond Oversight Committee will meet in early June and again in late August, and the elementary design advisory groups will reconvene to review how design work has progressed.
Board members asked about timing; Hobbs said mid-July is the target for the initial concept designs and confirmed follow-up discussion at the board work session in the coming week.
