The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners voted May 14 to approve Housing Production Solutions Fund grant agreement number 2025-HPSF-6 with Home Start Oregon LLC to support the Anchor Street 282 project in Rockaway Beach.
Sarah Absch, Community Development staff, told commissioners the award is $80,000 for four workforce housing units to be built above a commercial facility by applicant Jeff Wong. "Before you today is the contract agreement with Mr. Jeff Wong for his workforce housing project… It is an award for $80,000 for the 4 units that he will be building above a commercial facility in Rockaway Beach," Absch said.
Commissioners moved and seconded approval; the motion passed by voice vote. No formal dissent or amendments were recorded during the discussion.
The grant arises from the county's Housing Production Solutions grant process; the agreement will be executed as written at the board meeting.
The board did not discuss additional funding sources, construction schedule, or long-term management in detail during the public meeting. Further project particulars will appear in the executed grant agreement and permit records if and when submitted.
