The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners on March 26 approved Modification No. 2 to personal services agreement No. 6596 with Troop HR Inc. to complete a countywide job reclassification study.
Rachel Hegarty, chief administrative officer, told the board the original contract was $45,100 and that Modification No. 1, approved in January, added $11,275 to cover 55 additional jobs. Modification No. 2 adds another $11,275 to cover an additional 10 jobs and extra collaboration between Troop and county HR staff on specific job descriptions. Hegarty said county HR staff (named Mary Jo in the discussion) took on portions of the scope to reduce the consultant cost from an earlier higher request and that this modification should complete the study.
Commissioners praised the work as long overdue, saying employees had been given a chance to review and comment on drafted job descriptions and that completion will allow a subsequent compensation review. The motion to approve the contract modification was moved and seconded on the record and carried by voice vote.
