The Tillamook County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 29 approved a reimbursement agreement with Adventist Health Tillamook to reimburse consulting expenses tied to the county's opioid settlement strategic planning work.
The change corrects the agreement's effective date so it covers invoices the hospital had already paid. "The agreement before you today is with a corrected date that moves the initial date back to cover all of the deliverables that were paid for by Adventist Health," said Melody Ehrs, Tillamook Opioid Substance Use Response Project director, who presented the item.
The board was told an attorney had inadvertently set the agreement's effective date at the last signature (Dec. 12), which would have left earlier invoices uncovered. The revised agreement moves the start date back to July 16; staff said no other contract terms were changed. Commissioners described the item as a housekeeping correction and moved approval without further discussion; the motion passed by voice vote.
The record for the item shows Adventist Health Tillamook performed consulting work on the county's opioid response strategic planning and sought reimbursement under the county's settlement funding; the revised effective date is intended solely to align the county agreement with the dates of previously paid invoices.
The board did not discuss changes to program scope or additional funding in the motion approving the corrected agreement. Staff indicated they would proceed with processing invoices under the corrected agreement.
