Anne Hurd, speaking for the nonprofit Friends of the Dallas Aquatic Center, reported to the council that the pool experienced heavy use over a recent weekend with swim meets, two party bookings each day, and an Easter egg hunt that included prizes and a raffle. Hurd said organizers wrapped candies in eggs placed in and around the pool and offered raffle prizes for children who found qualifying eggs.
Hurd told the council the pool had sent a second boiler for repair and that it is expected back this week, avoiding the need to buy a costly replacement unit. She also said the Friends’ annual meeting is scheduled for April 30 at 11 a.m., and invited the public to attend.
