The Liquor Licensing Authority on April 11 continued the transfer hearing for the DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park because the city's packet lacked confirmable documentation from Breakthrough Beverage and because the hotel management agreement names did not clearly match the liquor-license applicant.
City staff reported that planning, code compliance, building and finance had no concerns but that police and the city attorney had sought corrected individual-history reports; those were submitted and resolved. The city attorney asked the applicant to confirm that no money was paid for the license transfer and flagged a wholesaler affidavit showing "not paid in full" for Breakthrough Beverage Co.; attempts during the hearing to reach Breakthrough staff by phone were unsuccessful.
Applicant representative Anthony Loes (management company) explained he had mistakenly attached an incorrect LLC name in the original application and offered to provide corrected documentation and LLC agreements to show the relationship between the management company and the license-holding entity. City attorney Michelle Sharma said the wholesaler affidavit and a signed management/LLC agreement were the remaining items of concern.
Judge Gonzalez continued the hearing to May 9 at 1 p.m. and asked the applicant to submit the wholesaler affidavit documentation and a signed management/LLC agreement so city staff can review the materials prior to the next hearing.
