Wing Shack transfer approved pending certificate of occupancy and business license

The Liquor Licensing Authority on April 11 approved the transfer of a hotel-and-restaurant liquor license for the Wing Shack location at 3502 West Tenth Street, subject to final certificate-of-occupancy and business-license documentation.

Applicant Brian Seifried (Wing Shack operator) testified about relocation and training steps after a previous minor receiving-alcohol incident at another location, describing increased staff training and certification. The city reported that building, fire and other departments had completed review but that the certificate of occupancy and business license remained under review. The authority found Seifried of good moral character and directed the city clerk to attach the judge's signature and issue the transfer once the outstanding building and licensing items are completed.

Judge Gonzalez noted the applicant manages multiple licensed locations and said the most recent violation in Fort Collins was not disqualifying, finding good moral character to hold the license. The authority recorded that the applicant's temporary license application had not been submitted at the time of the hearing; the clerk will finalize the transfer only after the certificate of occupancy and business license are issued.

Seifried told the panel he anticipated a soft opening for friends and family the week of the hearing and hoped to open to the public the following Tuesday, contingent on final permits. The authority's action allows the transfer to be finalized administratively once the required documents are received.
