Greeley board approves intergovernmental agreement with Evans for wastewater service at 30 Fifth Avenue

The Greeley Water and Sewer Board on April 14 approved an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Evans to govern wastewater treatment services for properties along 30 Fifth Avenue.
Board members approved the agreement after a brief presentation from Tyler Eldridge, wastewater treatment plant superintendent, who said staff recommended approval to meet regional planning requirements. "Staff does recommend approval of this IGA for wastewater treatment services along 30 Fifth Ave, in order to meet regional 208 area wide water quality management plan requirements," Eldridge told the board.
The agreement covers several parcels currently served by Evans that lie within Greeley’s wastewater service utility area and four east-side addresses presently on septic. Eldridge said the parcels include a mix of industrial and commercial properties and a business park; the IGA lets properties selected for connection be treated by either Greeley or Evans, or hook directly to Evans should a septic system fail.
Board discussion was minimal; a motion to approve the IGA — which included delegated authority to the director or the director’s designee to make minor, non‑material revisions before execution — was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote. The motion carried.
The board will now execute the agreement and proceed with implementation steps identified in the document.
