CHIA tells Financial Services it will provide data to analyze health spending and mandated benefits

Lauren Peters, executive director of the Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), testified to the Joint Committee on Financial Services that CHIA will continue to serve as the Commonwealth’s hub for healthcare data and analytics to inform policy decisions, including reviews of mandated benefits and cost‑growth benchmarking.

Peters told the committee CHIA stands ready to fulfill ad hoc analytic requests to support constituents, hospitals, insurers and legislative policy work: “Our team seeks to be objective thought partners and a resource to address the health care issues of the day, no matter how big or small.”
