The Cypress City Council unanimously approved the consent calendar, including an award of a contract for traffic-signal improvements at Valley View Street and Plaza Drive (Project No. 353) and approval of the city warrant register.
Council member Menickas disclosed that two electronic fund transfers on the warrant register — numbers 16054 and 16281, each for $308.53 — were reimbursements he is entitled to receive as a CalPERS annuitant and said he would not be voting on those two transfers when the register was approved. The motion to adopt the consent calendar otherwise passed with no negative votes.
On agenda item 5, staff said the Goodman Company agreed to provide the funds to pay for the traffic-signal upgrade at no cost to the city; the council voted to approve plans, specifications and award the contract as part of the consent calendar.
The council’s consent motion carried unanimously. No separate public hearing was required for these consent items.
