Resident urges action on Pine Drive code, health and building violations; asks to accompany code officer on inspections

The speaker described "massive amounts of code violations" and said the county had not sent compliance letters despite previous conversations with planning staff and the county manager's office. "If you can go and endanger the public without any kind of code enforcement being done, what exactly is the point of having the land development code and county ordinances?" the resident asked.
The speaker said they had copies of letters and would volunteer to visit problem properties with staff, the county manager and a new code officer to document violations and then ask for formal enforcement. They also said the health district indicated it would not act without county enforcement of its ordinances; "The health department said that they will not help us with this unless the county is willing to enforce their own ordinances," the speaker said.
Commissioners did not take action during the open‑mic session but staff acknowledged the complaint and the resident said they would follow up by email to schedule a field visit with county staff. The county did not announce any immediate enforcement action during the meeting; staff said code enforcement is being established under recently hired personnel and that field procedures are in development.
