Representative Rader (who represents Cleveland) said many constituents support the idea and noted local employees at NASA facilities.
Members also asked whether suppliers and contractors would follow a headquarters move; sponsors said they expected supply chains and contractors to locate where major anchor institutions locate, bringing additional private investment to Ohio. They noted the state had sent a letter signed by 65 House members pressing the White House and the congressional delegation on the proposal.
