Planning board cancels Aug. 7 meeting due to Tomato Festival, schedules July 31 meeting

At its May meeting the Reynoldsburg Planning and Zoning Board voted to cancel the regularly scheduled Aug. 7 meeting because it conflicts with the city’s Tomato Festival and to hold a meeting on July 31 instead.
Board members discussed options including keeping the Aug. 7 meeting, moving to Aug. 14 or holding a July 31 meeting. A board member recommended canceling Aug. 7 and meeting July 31 to keep regular meeting cadence and reduce the risk of low summer attendance.
The chair asked for a formal motion and the board conducted a roll call. The motion to cancel Aug. 7 and schedule a meeting July 31 was seconded and recorded with “yes” votes from members present (Ms. Cleckley, Ms. Barnhart, Ms. Allaby, Mr. Benner, Mr. First and Ms. Ward). The chair confirmed there would be no Aug. 7 meeting and that the board would meet July 31.
The chair adjourned the meeting at 6:20 p.m.
