The Allen County Commissioners handled several routine matters by voice vote during the March 14 legislative session.
Approved items included:
- Approval of minutes for the March legislative session. - Approval of claims submitted for the period of March 4, 2025, in the amount of $3,126,955.64. - Renewal of an annual investment of $6,000 with Issue Media Group to support community marketing and search-engine optimization efforts in partnership with the City of Fort Wayne and other local partners. - An appointment to the Allen County Planning Commission: Lindsay Hannah was appointed to fill the remainder of Steve Moore’s term. - Approval of a contribution-in-aid-of-construction agreement with I&M (Indiana Michigan Power) to install a three‑phase 400‑amp service at the Community Corrections residential services facility on Venture Lane; county staff said there is no expected cost to the county under the agreement but the legal authorization requires commissioners’ approval in case the county were to abandon the project after utilities incur costs. - Approval of a waiver of second reading for matters listed as necessary for the legislative session.
All items were approved by voice vote with commissioners responding 'aye' and no recorded dissents. The board closed the meeting after public comment was called and none was offered.
