Allen County commissioners on March 21 approved an LPA contract with the Indiana Department of Transportation to develop a countywide sign inventory. INDOT will reimburse 90 percent of the total cost under the agreement; the original contract estimate cited in the meeting was $202,572.
Bill Harmon said the county has had sign inventories in the past but they were locally funded. He described the INDOT reimbursement as a generous opportunity that lets the county update or consolidate its inventory with state support.
A commissioner moved and seconded approval; the motion carried by voice vote.
