The Bedford Conservation Commission opened its January meeting with member appointments and approval of minutes.
Grant Killian, the commission chair, announced the appointment of Brian Labrie as a full voting member and the temporary use of Jim Murray and Ted Burke as voting members for the evening. The commission then considered minutes from its Nov. 26 regular meeting and a separate site-walk meeting in December. Bill Carter moved to approve the Nov. 26 meeting minutes; the motion was seconded and approved, with multiple members recorded as abstaining because they were absent from that meeting.
Julie Donovan moved to approve the site-walk minutes with a correction to add her name where it had been omitted. That motion was seconded and approved; several members noted they would abstain because they had not attended the site walk. The transcript records explicit abstentions by Bill Carter and Grant Killian on the site-walk approval.
No dredge-and-fill applications were on the agenda. The commission then moved to new business.
