Planners approve Sprouts grocery site plan at Williamson Crossing

The Daytona Beach Planning Board approved Jan. 20 a major site plan for a Sprouts Farmers Market and an adjacent retail building at the Williamson Crossing planned development, authorizing construction plans to proceed to permitting subject to standard technical conditions.
Key details: The project combines Lots 6 and 7 of the Williamson Crossing PD into a single 6.6-acre parcel for an approximately 36,901-square-foot retail development anchored by a Sprouts grocery store and a multi-tenant retail building. Staff reported the project meets PD design standards, parking and landscaping requirements and provided building elevations and color schemes for review.
Technical and intergovernmental items: Staff noted that final permits will require coordination with Volusia County (because Cornerstone Boulevard is a county road), and a traffic-impact agreement and other technical approvals must be completed before construction permits are issued.
Board action: The planning board moved and approved the major site plan by voice vote. No members of the public spoke against the item at the planning-board hearing.
Next steps: Applicant to finalize county agreements, complete required technical conditions and apply for construction permits.
