Planning board approves site plan for Oasis Phase 2 Tesla dealership at Mason and Williamson

The Daytona Beach Planning Board approved a major site plan for Oasis Phase 2, Lot 1, a proposed 35,373-square-foot auto dealership on roughly 4.78 acres at the northeast corner of Mason Avenue and Williamson Boulevard.

Planner Paula Long presented the site-plan request, noting the parcel is part of the previously approved Oasis Plan District and that the district’s minor modifications earlier this year added motor-vehicle sales and service as an allowable use. The proposed development includes a building, sales and inventory parking (inventory spaces are not public parking), and use of off-site stormwater infrastructure already constructed as part of the master development. The plan shows two ingress/egress points from internal development roads; no direct access to Williamson Boulevard is proposed.

Staff said the submission meets PD and LDC requirements subject to technical comments being resolved before issuance of the site-plan approval letter; those items include landscaping, utility connections, traffic impacts and permitting. Jared Sims (applicant team) and the project engineer were present to answer questions.

Board members had no substantive objections; the board approved the site plan by voice vote and forwarded the recommendation to the City Commission as appropriate for site-plan processing. Staff reminded the board that final technical approvals (permits, inspections, traffic agreements) must be completed before issuance of a site-plan approval letter and construction permits.
