The Midtown Redevelopment Board on Jan. 29 voted to approve staff’s recommendation to rezone about 0.59 acres at 129 Marion Street and three adjacent parcels from RDM‑5 to a plan development redevelopment district to permit industrial, office, retail and related uses.
The rezoning request, brought on behalf of Bryson Crane Service, would allow current outdoor storage and equipment‑staging uses to remain in place and grant several waivers from the Daytona Beach Land Development Code, including perimeter landscaping, vehicular use area landscaping islands, a required 250‑foot separation for heavy equipment storage from residential uses and hard surfacing requirements for parking and loading areas until the site is redeveloped, staff said.
City staff said the site comprises four parcels on the east side of Marion Street roughly 130 feet south of International Speedway Boulevard.
