Sheriff’s Office recognizes deputies, new hires and community donors

The sheriff’s office promoted Staff Sergeant Andrew Hicks and Sergeant Dustin Farr. Confinement training officer recognitions went to Adrienne Stout and Jared Payne. Lifesaver awards were given to Deputies Tobin Riley, Matthew Gardner and Lindsay Bean. A sheriff’s commendation was given to Matron Reagan Buchanan.
The sheriff’s office also swore in two new deputies, Nathan Bailey and Justin Morris. Council members noted a community fundraising effort by veterinarian Jessie Haywig, who raised funds for ballistic vests for the department’s K‑9s.
The recognitions were presented under "old business" and required no council action.
