The council approved Superior Court’s amended request to fill a part‑time liaison position in the juvenile division after Judge Gary Schuette clarified the post is primarily for out‑of‑court duties and to assist law enforcement and electronic home detention monitoring. "We have had up to 18 young people on home detention, and, frankly, that's just too many for one person to monitor," Schuette said during the meeting.
