The Maryville Town Council on Jan. 28 approved the consent agenda and acted on several reappointments across planning, zoning and redevelopment bodies.
President Bello called for approval of the consent agenda; a motion to approve was made and seconded and the council adopted the consent agenda by voice vote.
Council actions on appointments and committee assignments included: - Reappointment of Bridal Dearing to the Plan Commission. - Board of Zoning Appeals appointment: Peter Gipp. - Redevelopment Commission appointments: Mr. Pettit, Ms. Uslak and Ms. Hardaway were named for seats; later Redevelopment Commission reappointments of Leona, Shauna and Annette were approved as listed in the packet. - Town Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners: Michael Rich was reappointed. - Solid Waste Management District representative: Rhonda Veil reappointed. - Standing committees were confirmed for 2025 with one leadership change: Ms. Uslak was named chair of the Environmental Affairs Committee, replacing Mr. Pettit.
Some motions listed movers and seconders on the record. For example, a motion to appoint Plan Commission members was moved and seconded (mover and seconder recorded during the meeting). Reappointments and committee confirmations were adopted by voice vote with no recorded roll-call tallies in the minutes provided.
The appointments and committee assignments take effect immediately and populate boards that handle planning, redevelopment, police oversight, stormwater and other town functions.
