Commissioners to issue proclamation and key to the county honoring Judge Andre Gammage

Circuit Court Judge John Bridal spoke in support of Gammage’s long service, noting Gammage was "the first protective order court judge in the entire state of Indiana" and has been a regular trainer of judges on topics including protective order courts. Bridal also cited Gammage’s work with community expungement clinics in partnership with the university legal aid society, the prosecutor and local partners during the pandemic.
Commissioner Morton, who said he has a long personal connection to Gammage, thanked Bridal and the board supported issuing the proclamation. "We will issue a proclamation and award him the key to the county in the near future," the commission president said. No formal vote record beyond general approval was required for the proclamation.
The recognition will be scheduled and presented at a forthcoming event; no date was given at the meeting.
