City reports mixed first-quarter solar results; staff to investigate February anomaly

The presenter noted the quarterly figures can be affected by weather and operations and asked commissioners to allow some ‘‘grace’’ while the new solar systems fully stabilize.
Commissioners asked for an investigation into the February cost spike. The presenter said staff has reached out and plans a follow-up call; the presenter also said wastewater is the largest solar installation and that staff would confer with Southern Pioneer or contract partners to reconcile the bill. The presenter committed to reporting back at the next meeting and to continue quarterly reporting on solar performance.
