City announces spring events; council recognizes Lawrence North girls basketball

City administration shared several upcoming events during the March 3 Lawrence City Common Council meeting. The chief of staff announced Shred It Day at Lawrence Community Park on March 15 and Lawrence Community Cleanup Day on April 22; staff asked that interested parties contact Jamie in the Parks Department for details.
The chief of staff also said the mayor’s State of the City address will be held April 23 in the evening at The Theater at The Fort, with a start time given as 6:00 p.m. Council President and members congratulated the Lawrence North High School girls basketball team on becoming state champions.
