The presenter said the assistant who currently helps the coordinator handles ordering and partial duties but that the expanded magnet programming has made the role necessary.
Committee members asked for clarification about current responsibilities and whether the new hire would change what the coordinator does. The presenter said the registrar will take over paperwork and registration logistics while the magnet coordinator continues monthly PLCs, program development and budgetary work.
Voting opened and closed at the meeting; the motion passed unanimously.
