Muncie Parks and Recreation Board elects Marshall president, Powers vice president

At its Feb. 18 meeting the Muncie Parks and Recreation Board formally elected Brad Marshall board president and Shannon Powers vice president in motions approved by the board.
Brad Marshall was elected president of the Muncie Parks and Recreation Board and Shannon Powers was elected vice president during the board's Feb. 18 meeting, the board announced during its reorganization portion of the agenda.
The nominations came during a brief reorganization session made up for one missed at a prior meeting. A motion to nominate Marshall for president was voiced and seconded and members approved by voice vote. A separate nomination and second led to the board approving Powers as vice president.
The reorganization vote followed routine business including approval of the January minutes. Board members at roll call included Chandra Hart, Lutton, Mark Irvin, Shannon Howard and Brad Marshall. The board proceeded to other agenda items after completing officer elections.
The officers will serve in their positions until the board’s next scheduled reorganization or as required by board policy.
