Muncie Board approves March 19 minutes and registered claims

The Muncie Board of Public Works and Safety on March 26 approved the minutes of its March 19 meeting and voted to accept the registered claims presented for April.
City Controller Craig Wright told the board that there was “nothing out of the unusual this week with the except our usual utility payments” and noted the claims included routine utilities and health-care items. After Wright’s remarks, a board member moved approval of the March 19 minutes; the motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote. The board then moved and seconded approval of the registered claims for April; that motion also passed on a voice vote.
The approvals were routine and took place at the start of the meeting before the board considered permit and right-of-way items. The board did not record objections on either motion.
The meeting record shows roll call present for Ted Baker, Boba Mauer and Linda Gregory before votes were taken.
