Redevelopment Commission approves appraisals, property offers, RFQs and project agreements; votes recorded by voice

The Elkhart City Redevelopment Commission voted on a series of routine and project-related items at its Feb. 11, 2025 meeting, approving appraisals and appropriations, authorizing requests for qualifications, executing professional engagement letters and approving property actions and invoices by voice vote.

The items the commission approved by voice vote included: a tenant credit for 420 South Second Street in the amount of $728.51 (to be applied as a rent credit); authorization to spend up to $5,000 from the Cassopolis TIF area to obtain appraisals for a parcel at the end of Cairn Drive; engagement of JPR for survey services and replatting at 1701 Sterling and 824 Wren Street at a cost not to exceed $9,000 from consolidated TIF funds; payment of two water-usage invoices for remediation projects (Roundhouse site $543.24 from the Brownfields special fund; Walter Piano site $39.24 from the Technology Park TIF fund); authorization to offer the property at 1913 Yuma Avenue to the public under the terms in the resolution; release of RFQs for Windsor improvements, appraisal services and environmental services; approval of the form and authorization to execute an agreement providing a conditional…
