Council tables ordinance on transfers and appropriations after advertising error

An ordinance authorizing transfers of appropriations, additional appropriations and repeal and reappropriation of funds for various city funds was tabled at the Feb. 10 meeting after the controller's office reported it had not been advertised in the local newspaper as required.
Robert Hunter of the controller’s office told the council the advertisement requirement was missed and asked that the item be tabled until the next meeting. A council motion to table carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
