Chief of Staff Dumas announced that Mayor Eddie Melton will deliver the second annual State of the City address on Tuesday, April 29, beginning at 2 p.m. The event will take place at Embassies of Christ Church.
Dumas said the event is not ticketed for payment, but because the facility seats about 1,300 people the city is asking attendees to reserve free tickets via Eventbrite to ensure seating. Hard-printed tickets will be available at the City Hall front desk from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for residents without internet access.
Council members asked about the start time; Councilman Williams said an evening time may be more convenient for working residents. Dumas said the administration will consider adjusting schedules for future events and will publish locations for printed-ticket distribution shortly.
