Legal staff presented a resolution accepting an offer from Black Spot LLC for small parcels adjacent to land it owns. The item was presented as “resolution O6-2025” and approved by voice vote.
Purchasing staff asked the council to declare various items surplus so they could be sold or traded: one six-foot metal exterior bench and two tulip-style trash receptacles to be sold to the Hahn Museum for $1; seven eight-foot metal exterior benches and two split trash/recycling receptacles to be sold to Wabash Center for Grant’s House; and three 2010 Ford Explorer XLT vehicles (city IDs 6404, 6405 and 6808) to be declared surplus for trade-in on upcoming purchases. Myers Bridge for a Mental Health Awareness Month celebration on May 21 from 5 to 7 p.m., including resource tables and a small public celebration. Christine Petcoff presented the request on behalf of the organization; the council approved the request by motion and voice vote. - The St. Boniface committee requested a street closure on North Street between Eighth and Ninth streets for Stations of the Cross/Good Friday events, including use of three horses and staging behind the stage; representatives Christian Mintero and Jeanette Hernandez said they expect about 1,000 attendees.
