Lafayette City approves culvert, street and pedestrian contracts and $5.27 million in claims

Lafayette City board members approved multiple contracts, purchasing awards and claims during a regular meeting, including a $131,518 contract for the Heath Street concrete project and approval of claims totaling $5,273,854.15.

The board took a quote from Inliner Solutions for the Lafayette Ninth Street culvert repair under advisement; the quoted amount was $114,870. "This is the Lafayette Ninth Street Culvert Repair quote," the presiding officer said during the opening of quotes.

Jeremy Grenard, the city engineer, described the Heath Street project as a spot replacement of sidewalk, curb, drive approaches and 18 curb ramps on Heath Street between Ninth Street and Thirteenth Street. "Our first two items this morning are related to the Heath Street concrete project that we opened sealed quotes for last week," Grenard said.
