Staff recommended approval subject to technical approvals from the various city departments. The commission took a roll-call vote and recorded five yes votes; the motion passed.
During discussion commissioners and staff noted the neighborhood contains vacant lots and some abandoned houses; the owner said he did not expect significant truck traffic and expects the use to complement surrounding businesses.
