Background: The motion follows votes on April 8, 2025, by the towns of Litchfield, Sabatus and Wales to close Sabatus Primary School. The boardrecorded that the building "does not have any anticipated use as a school building," and moved to offer control or ownership to the town of Sabatus and to stop further SRRF work at the site.
No members of the public spoke on the transfer during the meeting. Staff said they will provide additional details about timelines, insurance and vendor notifications as those steps are scheduled.
