Lewisville ISD board approves principals at four campuses

The Lewisville ISD Board approved administration recommendations to appoint new principals at Donald STEM Academy, Forest Vista Elementary, Morningside Elementary and McKinney Middle School.
The Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees approved administrative recommendations to hire four campus principals at its regular meeting.
The board voted unanimously to approve April Kennelly as principal of Donald Elementary STEM Academy; Leslie Mitchell as principal of Forest Vista Elementary; Jennifer Barentine as principal of Morningside Elementary School; and Kristen Tufnel as principal of McKinney Middle School. Each motion was made, seconded and carried by recorded vote.
After each approval, trustees invited the appointed principals to introduce guests who accompanied them to the meeting. The appointments were presented and recommended by administration as part of the superintendent’s personnel recommendations.
Board members and district staff congratulated the appointees following the votes. The approvals were recorded as part of the consent and action items in the meeting minutes.
