Rouses Point schedules public meeting on comprehensive plan and notes $250,000 Daisy Grant presentation

Village staff announced two citizen-facing items: a second public information meeting on the village comprehensive plan and an in-person grant presentation at the Rouses Point rink.
Staff said Comprehensive Plan public information meeting No. 2 will be Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. at American Legion Post 912, 29 Pratt Street. Trustees encouraged broad resident participation to help the planning committee draft a village vision statement.
Separately, staff said Assemblyman Billy Jones’ office contacted the village and is scheduled to visit the rink on Feb. 19, arriving at about 5:45 p.m. The assemblyman will tour the facility, view recent upgrades and present a $250,000 Daisy Grant check after the national anthem, staff said.
Trustees encouraged residents to attend the Feb. 10 planning meeting and noted follow-up information would be provided through village communications.
