Trustees set polling place for March election, approve bills and accept staff retirement

The resolution sets polling hours from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m.; names Dale Menard and Nicholas Salisbury as nominees for two-year trustee terms; directs the village clerk to publish the resolution in the Press-Republican and to post a copy at least six public locations on or before March 8, 2025; and takes effect immediately. The roll call showed trustees voting aye and Trustee Southwick absent; the chair announced the resolution passed.
The board also approved payment of bills presented by village staff. Notable items listed during the meeting included Excellus Health Plan Group March charges of $47,004.24 and a New York Power Authority January bill of $75,080.83; three other line items were described in summary as totaling about $5,296.69 for business cards, parts for the sewer plant and janitorial supplies. The board voted to pay the bills as amended.
Trustees accepted the resignation of Dean Yankee, a recreation maintenance worker at the civic center, with a final appointment date of May 1, 2025. The board moved and seconded the acceptance and recorded ayes on the motion.
The board voted to recess into an executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular employee; the board later reported it took no formal action on that employee's history.
