Clinton County Legislature approves series of routine resolutions, creates permanent jail health director post

The Clinton County Legislature on March 26 approved a slate of committee-recommended resolutions, including establishing a permanent full-time director of jail health services in the sheriff's department and multiple airport-related contracts and grant applications.

The action came during a regularly scheduled session in which committee chairs reported on meetings and then presented resolutions for a roll-call vote. Legislators said most items had been vetted in committee and were before the full legislature on committee recommendation.

Resolution 201 creates a permanent full-time director of jail health services position in the sheriff’s department. The resolution was moved and seconded on the floor and adopted by roll call.

Several resolutions involving Plattsburgh International Airport were approved. Resolution 203 authorizes a contract amendment with Corporate Flight Management Inc., doing business as Contour Airlines; 204 adopts the airport safety management system manual; 206 authorizes an agreement with CNS Engineers Inc. to prepare the safety management system; and 208 authorizes a grant application for rehabilitation and design work on apron/taxi lanes and general aviation apron phase 2. Resolution 207, listed earlier, was withdrawn and not acted on.
