Committee approves several liquor licenses, one neighborhood association reestablishment

Licensing approvals included: an application for a new Class B tavern license for JFTC d/b/a GM's Dog House at 1641 South 60 Eighth Street with agent Melissa Shruby; a new Class B tavern license for DRM Concessions LLC d/b/a Holiday Inn Express and Suites West Dallas at 10111 West Lincoln Avenue with agent Penny Lehi (staff confirmed managers had appropriate alcohol awareness training and food-manager licensing where applicable); and a new Class A liquor and beer license for 28 Bucks Inc. d/b/a Class 1 Liquor at 8423 West Cleveland Avenue with agent Hardeep Singh (an ownership change for an existing liquor store). The committee also handled an application noting Steakhouse 100 already holds an operating license and that the current action was a change in LLC structure.
Separately, the committee approved resolution item 43 to reestablish the Rainbow Gardens Neighborhood Association and allocated up to $1,000 for organizational support.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with brief staff confirmations that applicants understood Wisconsin liquor laws and licensing requirements. Several applicants assured the committee they had obtained or were pursuing necessary trainings, occupancy approvals and code corrections where applicable.
